Summer Ball!Updated Tuesday June 5, 2018 by Beth Jones.
Keep the good times rollin' with Summer Ball! Teams are forming now for AA and AAA divisions.
ABR is committed to continue to provide a rich baseball experience for kids, focusing on player development and fun. Registration is open now for our Summer House League for ages 7-10! Click the registration banner at the top of the page.
ROSTERS & COACHES
Just like the spring league, you may request a particular coach and players your kid(s) would like to play with.
Depending on registration numbers, we intend to expand team rosters to 14-15 players per team to best ensure that teams will have enough players to play games, while allowing for family summer travel plans.
Spring coaches are welcome (and encouraged!) to volunteer to coach again this summer.
Games will be played with AA, AAA American and AAA National rules. This will allow players to continue their development from their spring experience.
Games on Saturdays will be considered “scrimmages” to warm up for our “mini-tournament” (no umpires).
Depending upon the number of teams and registrations we have for our summer program, we hope to be able to organize a “Mini-Tournament.” Kids will compete in a one-day tournament-style atmosphere. The mini-tournament will be held on August 5th. Games will be shorter (5 innings) with sufficient gaps between games to give players time to rest and focus on the fun. The tournament will be held at a central location, so teams won’t need to move between fields and locations. Just a day filled with fun and baseball in a new and exciting format for this age group!
COSTS, UNIFORMS & REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The cost for participating in the Summer League is $30.00. This money will be used to cover uniforms (hat and jersey), equipment, and umpires fees for our mini-tournament. Players will wear their gray pants from the spring season.
You can register and pay online. Click through the registration banner at the top of the page.
Registration deadline for both players and coaches is Saturday, June 30.
