Reminder to ABR Coaches -- No Team Activities

UpdatedFriday March 13, 2020 byTerry Eby.

As you saw, ABR has suspended all activities effective immediately.  I write to remind you that you need to abide by ABR’s decision.  Coaches must not organize informal practices or other team events during the suspension of activities.  Apart from potential threats to personal and public health such activities may have, under the circumstances, no family should be put in the position of feeling pressured to participate in activities—even if there is no intention to apply such pressure—and ABR cannot be associated with gatherings that our board has determined are not in the best interests of the ABR or Arlington community.

So we are clear though, ABR has every expectation of going back on line at some point!  So, while you are home this weekend, please get your abuse awareness training and background checks done; and get those practice plans in shape.  There will be baseball at some point – be ready for it! As soon as we have information to report, we will be in touch.  If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding -- we are going to get through this and give our kids an incredible baseball experience this spring.

J.P. Cooney, President, ABR Board of Directors
